Create a payment link (single use)

How to create a payment link?


  • In your panel, go to the environment where you want to create the link.
  • Go to Requests in the left side menu.
  • Select the "Payment links" tab.
  • Click the "Create Link" button at the top right.


A modal will open with a fixed header and several optional accordions.


Header fields


Payment type


Select whether the link is for a Single payment, a Subscription, or an Authorization.


Information


Choose how to define what will be charged:


  • Concept: manually enter the concept name, price, and currency.
  • Select products: choose products from your Catalog.
  • Upload CSV: upload a CSV file with product information.


For Subscription you can also select a plan from the Catalog. For Authorization, an optional initial price can be entered.


The Total to pay field updates in real time as you add products, taxes, or shipping.


Identifier


Optional field. The external ID you will use to identify the link in your systems.


Optional accordions


Extra (single payment only)


  • Authorize only: hold the amount without charging it. Can be charged later.
  • Partial approval: charge the available amount if the customer does not have enough funds for the total.


Tax (single payment only)


Select the tax type (VAT, etc.) to add to the total. Must be created in Catalog first.


Shipping (single payment only)


Select the shipping method to add to the total. Must be created in Catalog first.


Checkout


Select the Checkout the customer will see when opening the link.


Expiry date


Define when the link will expire. Default is 7 days.


Customer data


Pre-fill buyer data: Name, Last name, Email, Document type, Document, Address, City, Region, Postal code, Country, Service end date.


Trial period (subscription only)


Define an initial period with a different or free price before the selected plan begins.


Start date (subscription only)


Define when the subscription activates.


Create the link


Click Create once you have filled in the fields you need.


Share the payment link


A modal will appear with several options:


  • Copy the link and send it through any channel.
  • Send by email: enter your customer's email and click "Send email".
  • Send by SMS: enter the phone number and click "Send SMS".
  • QR code: generate a QR the customer can scan to pay.
  • Short code: if you are on the phone with your customer, you can ask them to go to mc2p.es and enter the short code shown on screen (e.g. "AC29C").


Can I delete a payment link?


No, it is not possible to delete a payment link. It will always be recorded with its final status: Completed, Cancelled, or Expired.
